Abstract
Problem Statment/Background (GAP): Regarding the problems that occur in Nabire Regency where this problem is also a problem that occurs in Indonesia, namely regarding the high poverty rate and also unemployment which is still a lot in Nabire Regency. Purpose: The purpose of this study itself is to determine and analyze the role of the Industry Office in community empowerment in Nabire District, To find out and analyze community involvement to participate in activities carried out by the Industry Office in Nabire District, To identify and identify factors inhibiting the role of the Industry Office in implementing community empowerment. Papuan natives in Nabire District. Method: The theory used in this material is the theory of community empowerment, according to Mardikanto Mardikanto gives the opinion that the existence of institutional development is very important, because everything will be interconnected with one another. Community Development, Human Development and Business Development will not work as they should if they are not supported by various institutional effectiveness as needed and vice versa, Institutional Development will not run if there is no Community Development, Human Development. The research method used is qualitative research with descriptive and inductive approaches, data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. Conclusion/Sugegestion: Community involvement in community empowerment in Nabire District it's still not optimal, where is the community itself when it's saturated with what they do will leave their work, In addition, the community also lacks the entrepreneurial spirit which they are more into the world of politics, I hope this becomes future challenges for the Department of Industry to be even more carry out socialization about the importance of the entrepreneurial spirit so that people can be involved in business and industry in the future.
