Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The Regional Financial Management Information System (SIPKD) is an integrated application that provides benefits in regional financial management supported by information technology, hardware and networks. Purpose: The purpose of the study was to find out how the impact of the financial information system on the effectiveness of financial management in Pesisir Selatan Regency, to find out the problems of SIPKD and the efforts made by the government in dealing with them. Method: This research is a qualitative research with descriptive research methods and through an inductive approach. Data collection techniques are by using observation, interviews, and documentation. The steps of data analysis used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research uses Information Systems theory with 3 dimensions, namely organization, management, technology and financial management theory with dimensions of the government's ability to manage regional finances. Result: Based on the research results, the use of SIPKD in regional financial management has not been fully effective, and the objectives of SIPKD itself have not been maximally achieved. This is caused by employees who are still not proficient in using SIPKD, the supporting facilities are not maximized, the network in operating SIPKD can still have errors, and the existing information has not been updated on the website. Because the maximum impact of SIPKD on the effectiveness of regional financial management has not been achieved, the Pesisir Selatan Regency government has made efforts to make it happen. Conclusion: Efforts are being made to continue to conduct training for employees regarding the operation of SIPKD, update employee recruitment methods, improve employee discipline, optimize networks, and improve facilities, often provide training so that employees improve their skills, employees provide SIPKD operation modules, install antivirus to maintain data security, maintenance of the facility.
