Abstract

Problem/Background (GAP): Economic development in a country or region is defined as a process of changing economic conditions towards a better state from time to time. The percentage of Regional Original Income (PAD) on total regional income is an indicator of regional independence. Equity participation provides a stimulus and catalyst for the company, because capital is the source of every activity of the company. The company's activities are expected to produce a positive impact in the form of a return on the company's performance results. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of equity participation and what factors were supporting and hindering its implementation. Methods: The method used is descriptive qualitative method, in conducting research, the data used are in the form of data obtained by interview, observation and documentation. Results/Findings: Based on the results of the study that the effectiveness of equity participation in PT. PMgS has been running effectively because it has fulfilled the two objectives of establishing a BUMD, namely social benefits and economic benefits. Conclusion: The capital investment carried out by establishing a drinking water company PT. PMgS runs effectively by realizing and achieving the objectives of equity participation, namely economic and social benefits Keywords: Equity Participation, activity effectiveness, PAD increase
