Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research).The Death Certificate is one of the important population documents as a requirement for managing documents related to heirs, insurance, accident benefits and various other administrations. Until now, there are still many people who do not realize the importance of population documents, especially death certificates. The writing is focused on the Effectiveness of Online Death Certificate Registration and Issuance Services at the Tebo Regency Population and Civil Registration Service.Purpose to describe and analyze the effectiveness of recording and issuing death certificates through online services, to describe and analyze the inhibiting factors in recording and issuing death certificates through online services and to describe and analyze the efforts that can be made by the Tebo Regency Population and Civil Registration Service.Methode: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Result :The effectiveness of recording and issuing death certificates through online services carried out by the Tebo Regency Population and Civil Registration Service has been running well. Since the launch of the online service, ownership of death certificates in Tebo Regency has increased, but the number of daily death certificates cannot be determined because it is tentative depending on the number of applicants.Conclusion: the first year the online service was launched until now the issuance of death certificates has increased but has not been maximized. Barriers to online registration and issuance of death certificates at the Population and Civil Registration Service are the lack of public awareness and knowledge in utilizing technology for managing population documents and the limited competence of employees who understand the online service itself. Efforts that can be made by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Tebo Regency to overcome these obstacles are to disseminate information to the public about the effectiveness of online services themselves and conduct training for employees to be able to master how to operate online services in recording and publishing services. death certificate.
