Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Contains the background behind the research). Technology-based personnel information processing is currently very much needed. This is to support performance to be more effective and efficient. The Southeast Aceh Regency Government itself has been using the SIMPEG application in processing personnel information data intensively since 2014. This research is entitled Effectiveness of the Personnel Management Information System (SIMPEG) in the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Southeast Aceh Regency.Purpose: to determine the effectiveness of the SIMPEG application system in the administration of personnel as well as the obstacles and efforts made to achieve the effectiveness of SIMPEG itself.Method: This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods with an inductive approach, where the authors obtain data by means of interviews, observation and documentation Result: The SIMPEG application so far has been running well, but there are still some problems such as uneven supporting facilities and infrastructure such as a gap in facilities between the central operator and users, inadequate quality of human resources in managing this application, and user delays in inputting data. employees to central operators.Conclusion: BKPSDM made several efforts, such as procuring facilities and infrastructure that were still less than the established standards, holding a DIKLAT program on SIMPEG to improve the quality of the apparatus and conducting socialization to all OPD within the Southeast Aceh District Government about the importance of SIMPEG applications in the administration of personnel. In the implementation of the SIMPEG application system since 2014 it has been running well in managing and providing personnel information data compared to the previous year. Although there are several problems, the government has implemented programs and efforts to fix them. Researchers provide suggestions for conducting comparative studies to regions that have had success in implementing SIMPEG as evaluation material, it is necessary to submit a budget for maintaining SIMPEG supporting goods, and it is necessary to study SIMPEG regulations in the form of Regional Regulations or Perwako so that awareness of all OPDs about the importance of SIMPEG in personnel administration is needed.
