Abstract
ABSTRAK Skripsi ini berjudul “Implementasi Program Dinas Sosial Dalam Penanganan Masalah Anak Jalanan Di Kabupaten Mimika”. Tujuan peneliti melaksanakan penelitian ini adalah sebagai sebagai wujud dari penerapan secara teoritis dan praktis atas pengetahuan yang peneliti miliki selama menempuh pendidikan di Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan penelitian yang tergolong sebagai penelitian deskriptif yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan dengan tujuan menggambarkan dan mendeskripsikan objek dan fenomena yang diteliti. Dalam mengumpulkan data penulis menggunakan wawancara, obeservasi dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan penulis pada awal tahun 2022 didaerah ditengah situasi pandemic covid 19, penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Mimika Provinsi Papua. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan penulis menunjukan bahwa penanganan terhadap anak jalanan di kabupaten mimika masih belum maksimal dikarenakan beberapa hambatan yaitu dari penganggaran yang kurang atau tidak ada untuk penanganan anak jalanan, dan juga tenaga SDM yang siap untuk selalu turun dilapangan untuk merangkul anak anak jalanan. saran dari penulis adalah Pertama, pemerintah kabupaten mimika harusnya lebih memperhatikan kembali anak anak jalanan ini karena rata rata yang menjadi anak jalanan ini merupakan anak anak umur sekolahan yang harusnya mendapat pendidikan yang layak malah sebaliknya mereka lebih memilih turun ke jalan melakukan aktifitas yang tidak semestinya anak anak umuran seperti mereka lakukan Kedua,terkait SDM harusnya Dinas Sosial lebih bekerjasama dengan melibatkan lebih banyak instansi dan organisasi sosial lainnya agar penanganan anak jalanan lebih terakomodir dan permasalahan anak jalanan ini dapat terselesaikan dengan dinas sosial dan organisasi yang benar benar bertugas menangani masalah anak jalanan ini. Kata kunci : Anak jalanan, Penanganan anak jalanan, Dinas Sosial ABSTRACT This thesis is titled "Implementation of the Social Service Program in Handling Street Children Problems in Mimika Regency". The aim of the researcher to carry out this research is as a manifestation of the theoretical and practical application of the knowledge that the researcher has while studying at the Institute of Domestic Administration. . In this study, the authors use research that is classified as descriptive research, namely research conducted with the aim of describing and describing the objects and phenomena studied. In collecting the author's data using interviews, observations and documentation conducted by the author in early 2022 in the area amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation, this research was carried out in Mimika Regency, Papua Province.The results of the research conducted by the authors show that the handling of street children in Mimika Regency is still not optimal due to several obstacles, namely from insufficient or non-existent budgeting for handling street children, and also human resources who are ready to always go down in the field to embrace street children. The advice from the author is: First, the Mimika district government should pay more attention to these street children because on average these street children are school-age children who should receive a proper education, on the contrary, they prefer to take to the streets doing inappropriate activities. Second, with regard to human resources, the Social Service should cooperate more by involving more agencies and other social organizations so that the handling of street children is more accommodated and the problems of street children can be resolved with the social service and organizations that are really in charge of dealing with the problem of street children.
