Abstract
Problem Statement/ Background (GAP): This study focuses on the problem of not achieving the objectives of political education, where the voter participation rate is only 70.03% below the Central KPU target of 77.5% and there are still violations of political consciousness. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the evaluation and efforts that need to be made to improve the implementation of political education organized by the KPU. Method: This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach. Data collection is carried out using semi-structured interviews and documentation studies. The data were analyzed with a CIPP evaluation theory by Daniel Stufflebeam. Result: The results showed that political education was in accordance with PKPU Number 10 of 2018 and PKPU Number 13 of 2020; KPUD Karawang can carry out political education with limited human resources, budget, and infrastructure; and KPUD Karawang can adapt political education programs during the pandemic. In addition, from the results of the study, it was obtained that there was an increase in voter participation by 2.85% compared to the 2015 Regional Elections, however, these results were still below the central KPU target of 77.5%; and the absence of post�Election social conflicts. Conclusion: KPUD Karawang is able to organize political education programs in the midst of a pandemic even though voter participation output has not been achieved.
