Abstract

Government’s efforts to reduce the growth rate of Covid-19 are implementation of WFH. That is why, the author is interested to observe WFH, especially in Sumedang Regency. This observation aims to determine the effectiveness of WFH Civil Servants during the pandemic. Besides that, it is also to find out what obstacles arise in the implementation of WFH and what efforts are being made by the Sumedang Regency government in overcoming existing obstacles. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method by finding inductive. Data sources in this study are primary and secondary data sources. Data analysis techniques used are data selection, data classification and data verification. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. Based on field observations, so far the implementation of WFH within the scope of the Sumedang Regency government has been quite good because Civil Servants can complete their respective jobdesk which inputted to E-Office Application, but supervision has not been maximally carried out because superiors cannot come down directly so that several times there have been miscommunications. The existing obstacles include the limitations of the Sumedang Regency government regarding WFH supporting facilities and infrastructure. Based on the results of the research conducted, the authors propose a suggestion, among others: there is special attention from the government to Civil Servants implementing WFH in the form of supporting facilities and infrastructure loans, Civil Servants implementing WFH must remain standby during working hours in order to avoid miscommunication, there is an evaluation of Civil Servants implementing WFH so that the results of reporting are carried out in accordance with the objectives as well as superiors can know the progress that is running and if the implementation is effective, the WFH policy can become a new working method within the central and regional government.
