Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Human resources have a fairly important role for the survival of a nation, where human resources are the reference and foundation in the current super fast dynamic era. In other words, human resources become the science and art of managing the workforce effectively and efficiently in order to achieve organizational goals. Due to its important role, it is not uncommon for human resource management to be difficult to control. But with the diversity and plurality of the Indonesian nation, it can be used as an initial capital to maximize the existing potential for the progress of the Indonesian nation. Purpose: In human resource management there are several stages of the process in achieving its goals, namely, the process of planning, organizing, directing, and supervising all activities regarding the selection, training, placement, awarding, compensation, development, integration, maintenance and release of human resources to achieve individual goals of society, government and other organizations. This study aims to determine the career development pattern of civil servants in Tangerang Regency as well as the obstacles and efforts made by the Tangerang Regency BKPSDM to improve the career development of civil servants in Tangerang Regency. Method:The research method used is descriptive research method where the method used to analyze data is by describing or describing data by describing or describing the data that has been collected as it is without intending to make conclusions that apply to the public or generalizations. Conclusion: Data collection techniques through interviews, documentation and observation. This study uses data analysis techniques in the form of data collection, data reduction and data presentation. Keywords: human resources, Indonesia, Civil Servants
