Abstract
Problem/Background (GAP): This study carries the title "Public Perceptions of the Provisions and Application of Qanun No. 6 of 2014 concerning Jinayat Law on Seclusion in the City of Banda Aceh". Purpose: Seclusion in Banda Aceh City and to find out the impact of the implementation of Qanun Number 6 of 2014 concerning the Jinayat Law on Seclusion in Banda Aceh City according to public opinion. Method: The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques through interviews, documentation and observation. In this study using the perception theory of Miftah thoha which has the dimensions of stimulation (initial perception), registration (perception after socialization & access to detailed information), interpretation (perception after observation and application) and feedback (perception after violation and action). Result: Banda Aceh is still not aware of the existence of this regulation so that there are still those who violate Islamic Sharia in Banda Aceh City. The Department of Islamic Law as the one who has the duty and function to provide socialization to the community about the existence of this Jinayat Law Qanun must carry out its responsibilities. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that the presence of qanun no 6 of 2014 concerning the jinayat law in the field of seclusion can reduce violations of Islamic law in Banda Aceh City. With the existence of this qanun, the law of jinayat in the field of seclusion, many people are afraid of violating Islamic law which can be dealt with by whipping. Suggestions that can be given to the Islamic Shari'a Service are to continue to disseminate information to the community evenly so that the Qanun on jinayat law can be implemented optimally so that the community has no desire to violate Islamic Shari'a in Banda Aceh City.
