Abstract
Responding the challenges of globalization and optimize public services delivery, the employees placement must be based on competencies and qualifications required. One way to make this happen is by utilizing Human Resources Management Information System (SIMPEG) in employees placement. This research focuses on three matters: how the implementation of SIMPEG in employees placement; factors that impede the implementation of SIMPEG in employees placement, and ;efforts made to optimize the utilization of SIMPEG in employees placement.This research is a descriptive qualitative research with purposive sampling method in determine the informant. The data were collected through interview technique, observation and documentation.The implementation of SIMPEG in employees placement in the Agency of Staffing and Human Resources Development of Sitaro Islands Regency is in accordance with applicable standard procedures.The results indicate that: the factors that impede the implementation of SIMPEG in in employees placement in the Agency of Staffing and Human Resources Development of Sitaro Islands Regency are: lack of understanding and awareness of employees in completing responsibilities, unstable internet network and geographical conditions; The efforts made to optimize the utilization of SIMPEG include: Leaders are examples in carrying out their responsibilities, conducting training on SIMPEG and establishing cooperation.
