Abstract

Performance is an important thing in showing the success or failure of a job carried out by an employee in every implementation of the duties and responsibilities assigned to him. Things that affect the performance itself include motivation and discipline by each employee. However, there are still some employees who have low motivation and lack of discipline which certainly affects their performance. This study aims to describe the effect of employee motivation and discipline on the performance of the Civil Service Police Unit in Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. The research method used is a quantitative research method. The number of samples in this study were 148 respondents. Sampling was done by Simple Random Sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Primary data from questionnaires at the Satpol PP in Minahasa Regency were analyzed using multiple regression tests. According to the results of the multiple regression test partially, it shows that there is a significant influence between motivation on the performance of Satpol PP, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province with p-value = 0.00 < α = 0.05. Furthermore, the effect employee discipline on the performance of SatpolPP Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province with a p-value = 0.00 < α = 0.05. While simultaneously the influence of motivation and employee discipline on the performance of SatpolPP Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province shows the result of p-value = 0.000 < α The author suggests that the leadership of the Minahasa Satpol PP improve the performance of employees through increased motivation given the significant influence of encouragement by the need for achievement, the need to expand relationships, and the need to master a job from each employee and the need for an increase in employee discipline by the leadership towards Satpol employees. PP Minahasa remembers that there is a significant effect of time compliance and work responsibilities that each employee has on employee performance.
