Abstract
The actuating of providing additional employee income increasing employee motivation and has a positive impact on employee performance. However, in practice, there are still problems that can cause the purpose of providing additional employee income to not be achieved. Purpose: This study aims to determine and analyze the actuating of providing additional income for employees at the Batam City Financial and Asset Management Agency, the existing inhibiting factors and efforts to overcome these inhibiting factors. Method: This qualitative research uses a descriptive method through an inductive approach. And the data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or verification. Result: Based on the result, the author found that the actuating of providing additional employee income for employees at the Batam City Financial and Asset Management Agency has been carried out based on the provisions in Batam Mayor Regulation Number 5 of 2020. The obstacles to its actuating are the lack of employee discipline and the lack of availability of an additional budget for employee income. Conclusion: However, this can be overcome by made to provide a time limit for giving sanctions to employees and related to the availability of the budget the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency has not been able to make maximum efforts because it is returned to the availability of the regional budget.
